Age 62, resident of Riverside, CA, for 35 years passed away on October 4, 2010. Jay was born November 7, 1947 in Duluth, MN. After moving to California in 1955, he attended and graduated from Pioneer High School. Jay served in the Army from 1968 to 1971. In 1971, he married his beloved Kathy-Ann McCall. Together, they had three children - Jay, Jill, and Carol. Kathy passed away on December 25, 1999. Jay enjoyed camping, jeeping, and spending time with his family and friends. His outgoing and fun-loving personality will be dearly missed by the many people who knew him.
Jay is survived by his children, Jay Hakomaki of Riverside, Jill Burciaga of Corona, and Carol Mitchell of San Diego; brothers Gary Hakomaki of Riverside and Scott Hakomaki of Canby, OR; and his mother Betty Hakomaki of Canby, OR.
